America in Colour 1939 - 1943

"These images, by photographers of the Farm Security Administration/Office of War Information, are some of the only color photographs taken of the effects of the Depression on America´s rural and small town populations. The photographs are the property of the Library of Congress and were included in 2006 in a exhibit Bound for Glory: America in Color"

Amazing to find these rare pics of The United States in those years. Not only the quality is great, but the whole scenario creates the feeling of actually beeing inside a moving image.
Would you agree if I said that the colours create a nostalgic atmosphera?
The whole series can be found at the Denver Post website.
