Sam Faulkner. Documentary photographer.
Series portraing the battle between drugdealers and the army in Mexico, the role of the women in the colombian FARC, Voodoo rituals in Haití or the gangs in LA.
Definately shocking as he goes deep into the people he has been documenting.
I´m really intrigued how he has been able to be accepted to make some of these images, even how he was accepted to be there in the first place. Still looking for some interviews but he seems to be a bit hermetic when talking about his adventures.
In his website there is this other reportage about the behind the scenes of Mario Testino´s shootings. It kind of feels out of place compared to the all the other social documentary, but it is definately a site worth of spending time on it.
