Astonishing similitudes

The gap between these images is around 100 years.
The first one forms part of the vernacular as a documentation of a crime scene in New York back in 1916, the second one is of a beauty project by argentinian photographer Vanina Kovalsky.
I can only imagine she was aware of those crime scene recording photographs back in the early 20th century were a huge 5x4 camera was used, and then she emuled the aesthetics of it.
